The Most Controversial UP Alumni refers to University of the Philippines (UP) alumni – or students, if they did not graduate – who became famous because of their colorful personalities, exploits in various fields of endeavor, and their contribution to the endless controversies that have become part of Filipino society and way of life. Many of these UP alumni have also gained prominence – or notoriety, depending on the observer – because of their participation and involvement in many tumultuous events in Philippine history.
